Support status

ContaoDock is an early prototype. This page separates implemented workflows from work that should not yet be treated as a product guarantee.

Area Current status
Desktop Tauri 2 + React app; current development machine is macOS. Other operating systems are not validated.
Project setup Import existing projects and create a Contao Managed Edition project. Detection is heuristic.
Local runtime Apache/PHP and MariaDB Compose setup, service controls, logs, and persistent database volume.
Local hostname ContaoDock-managed Docker/Nginx routing for port-free .localhost hostnames. Herd is optional; port 80 conflicts fall back to the assigned loopback URL. .test still needs OS name resolution, and local HTTPS is not implemented.
Remote profiles Save Staging and Production SSH settings; the connection check reports release-root write access, PHP CLI, tar, shared paths, current-link layout, and symlink support.
Code deployment Staging release archives, checksum-backed deployment history, exact-artifact Production promotion, code rollback, optional public-URL HTTP probes, and manual preview-first release cleanup are implemented in the development branch for preconfigured versioned roots. Representative host verification is pending; the published 0.1.0 DMG predates these features.
Data sync Explicit database and files/ workflows for the documented directions, target snapshots, and a per-project history of recent successful syncs and migrations.
Downloads 0.2.0-rc.2 is available as an unsigned, unnotarized macOS Apple Silicon DMG. Windows and Linux installers are not available.

Compatibility depends on the project’s Contao version, PHP platform requirements, extensions, and database needs. The current PHP 8.4/MariaDB 11.4 setup is an initial runtime recipe, not a supported compatibility matrix.
